Kutaisi "Torpedo" held the match of Marbella Cup with Bucharest "Rapid" in Spain on February the 4th. Initially the team decided to withdraw according the scheme of Gia Geguchadze 4-4-2. Rigvava controlled the right side protection. Tsintsadze and Oniani acted as central defenders. Giorgi Kukhianidze and Zaza Tchelidze were midfielders. Right and left sided wingers were Dolidze and Grigalashvili. The forwards were Sabanadze and Beriashvili. The absolute advantage of Kutaisi footballers was clear while playing with the champion of Romania. "Rapid" rarely had the opportunity to attack. The reason of it was "Torpedo's" high percentage of possession the balls. According to such game, the goal in our door was illogical. At 29th minutes Nikolae Grigore did penalty and scored the first goal. 0:1. Before there were not exact kicks of Grigalashvili and Rigvava. Some other interesting moments were at 39th minute, when Oniani missed the door with a little. At 45th Beriashvili had favorable moment but could not score with the head. In the beginning of the second round (at 60th minute) there happened some changes: Instead of Tsintsadze, Kukhianidze, Dolidze, Grigalashvili, Sabanadze, Beriashvili and Rigvava, other footballers continued playing: Pirtskhalava, Gigauri, Bolkvadze, Pantsulaia, Tughushi, Kvaratskhelia and Tabatadze. This resulted more monotonous game with the inexhaustible attacks of "Torpedo". Despite numerous unsuccessful attempts Kutaisi footballers made the first goal at 63rd minute, where Tughushi played well, gave a pass down to Giorgi Pantsulaia and the latter managed to score 1:1. In the second round "Rapid" had only a chance to score, but Dika's kick was not exact. The main time of the match ended with the draw and eleven meter kicks were held, where Gia Geguchadze's team Pirtskhalava, Guruli, Tughushi and the keeper Migineishvili performed it perfectly. "Torpedo" is in semifinal on February the 7th against Bucharest "Dinamo".

The teams had good chances to make a goal, but the first round ended without the goal. At the beginning of the second round, hosts did penalty but Kukhianidze missed the door. Torpedo managed to go forward, Giorgi Pantsulaia ran a half stadium and made a very nice goal. 1:0. Lekso Kvakhadze got a red card for the arguing to a referee. At 88th Lasha Kebadze equalized the score 1:1.
